LG Electronics has expanded the capabilities of LG Sound Suite with new DTS:X support, improved wireless connectivity, dual-subwoofer support and Google Cast integration. Introduced at CES 2026, LG Sound Suite is a wireless home audio system built around Dolby Atmos FlexConnect. The latest updates aim to give users more options for configuring their home theater systems and accessing compatible audio content. DTS:X support is now available for the H7 soundbar, allowing users to enjoy immersive, multidimensional audio from compatible content and source devices. LG is also developing the LG Media Connect Hub, which is designed to enable DTS:X playback from compatible external sources. The company said it will share more details about the hub through its official channels at a later date.
LG has also expanded the system’s wireless connectivity options to support 6 GHz Wi-Fi networks and 5 GHz Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channels. These changes are intended to improve compatibility with different home network environments and support stereo and multi-speaker configurations. In addition, compatible LG Sound Suite setups can now connect two W7 subwoofers. This allows users to adjust subwoofer placement to suit larger listening areas and may help provide more consistent bass across different seating positions. The updates build on the system’s modular design, which allows users to configure their audio setup according to their space and requirements.
The H7 soundbar has also gained Google Cast support, allowing users to stream music, podcasts and other compatible content directly to the system. These additions complement existing features such as Dolby Atmos, Dolby Atmos FlexConnect, Sound Follow and Room Calibration Pro. LG said the updates reflect its continued efforts to expand content compatibility and give users more flexibility in setting up their home audio systems.
