More young Filipinos are exploring stock market investing as they work toward financial stability and seek ways to diversify their income. Reine, a 25-year-old sales agent from Laguna, started investing through GStocks PH last year with ₱1,000. The stock trading platform, offered by AB Capital Securities Inc. through GCash, allows users to access the stock market through the app. Jake, a Gen Z analyst from Muntinlupa, also turned to GStocks PH after starting his financial journey with GSave, GCash’s digital savings service. He said the platform’s simple registration process made it easier to try investing. GStocks PH allows younger Filipinos to start investing without needing to coordinate with a broker. They can already start investing with incremental amounts as they build their portfolios.

Digital financial services have helped lower barriers to stock market participation by making trading platforms, market information and educational resources more accessible. A study by Ateneo de Manila University researchers involving more than 170 Gen Z employees found that young Filipino workers are focused on securing their future through savings and investments. Data from the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) also show that stock market accounts increased by 27.3% year-on-year to 3.64 million in 2025, including 3.61 million retail investor accounts. Online accounts rose by 30.5% to 3.23 million, while investors aged 18 to 28 accounted for 28.2% of total PSE accounts.

Fully verified GCash users can access GStocks PH through the app’s Invest tab and complete the registration process with AB Capital Securities Inc. The platform gives users another way to participate in the stock market as they build their investment portfolios. GCash said the service forms part of its efforts to expand access to investing and help more Filipinos explore financial options for their long-term goals.
