SIM registration is made easier and even more accessible for Smart and TNT users as Smart Communications sets up assisted booths at selected SM Cyberzone branches all over the Philippines.
Following the rollout in January of assisted SIM registration touchpoints at SM Supermalls, Smart continues to serve customers at the following SM Cyberzone locations: SM North Edsa, March 3-5; SM City Tuguegarao, April 14-16; SM City Cebu, April 21-23; and SM City General Santos, April 28-30.
“We hope to make SIM registration more convenient for our subscribers, especially younger mobile users, through this rollout at SM Cyberzone. We are again grateful to SM Supermalls for their support in helping our customers register their SIM,” said Alex O. Caeg, PLDT and Smart SVP and Head of Consumer Sales Group.
“Here at SM, we aim to provide products and services for the various needs of shoppers. We also thank Smart for this collaboration which will help us better serve our customers,” said Mark Ramilo, Group Marketing Manager for Cyberzone, SM Supermalls.
All SIM users have until April 26, 2023, to register their SIMs, as mandated by Republic Act No. 11934 or the Subscriber Identity Module Registration Act.
To help subscribers register their SIM, Smart has deployed booths offering assistance all over the country in collaboration with both government and private partners and other public telecommunications entities (PTEs).
Through this initiative, Smart and TNT aim to help subscribers who may need assistance in registering their SIMs, especially senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those using non-data phones.New and existing Smart Prepaid and TNT subscribers may also visit PLDT and Smart stores, or access Smart’s SIM registration portal through https://simreg.smart.com.ph/; Postpaid users can simply text YES to 5858, while Enterprise customers can confirm their registration through their authorized representatives.
