Assisted SIM registration touchpoints will continue to serve Smart and TNT users during the Holy Week break.
Starting April 1, subscribers can register their SIM at booths set up at selected summer destinations, airports, bus terminals, gas stations at NLEX, SLEX, and SCTEX; and convenience stores all over the Philippines.
“We hope to make SIM registration more convenient for our subscribers by setting up assisted touchpoints at transport hubs and summer spots during this extended break. As many Filipinos take this time to unwind, they can also go to any of the booths accessible to them and register hassle-free with the help of our friendly SIM registration staff,” said Alex O. Caeg, PLDT and Smart SVP and Head of Consumer Sales Group.
Through this initiative, Smart and TNT aim to help subscribers who may need assistance in registering their SIMs, especially senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and those using non-data phones.
This activity is part of Smart’s efforts to ensure subscribers can continuously access mobile services and enable them to make the most of every moment and live more today.
All SIM users have until April 26, 2023, to register their SIMs, as mandated by Republic Act No. 11934 or the Subscriber Identity Module Registration Act.
New and existing Smart Prepaid and TNT subscribers may also visit PLDT and Smart stores, or access Smart’s SIM registration portal through https://simreg.smart.com.ph/; Postpaid users can simply text YES to 5858, while Enterprise customers can confirm their registration through their authorized representatives.
