Their Journey to International PUBG MOBILE Professional Tournaments Starts Here
January 18, 2024, MANILA – PUBG MOBILE Philippines has chosen its squads to compete against the best from Myanmar, Cambodia, and Singapore. Harame Bro emerged victorious in the PUBG MOBILE National Championships (PMNC) held last January 6-7, 2024 at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City. The team took home a lion’s share of the PHP 500,000 cash prize pool and the final prize TECNO Spark 20 Pro, the 108MP lite-flagship camera part of the latest SPARK 20 series. Attended by thousands of Filipino PUBG MOBILE fans, the event was supported by TECNO, one of the world’s leading and innovative smartphone brands. Promising the 7k price range accessible to the Filipino youth, TECNO sponsored the full competition.
and were joined in the podium by 214 Akira, Exquisite Esports, Dread Esports, and ELV8 Esports. Together with top seeded teams Playbook Esports (PBE) and Enigma, these seven teams would represent the Philippines in this year’s international PUBG MOBILE Esports competitions.
These teams have gone through a series of tournaments, besting more than 200 teams hailing from across the country with their sheer gaming skills and teamwork. Not only are they vying for the glory of being named as one of the Philippines’ best PUBG MOBILE teams but also the honor of representing the motherland on the global stage, strengthening the country’s growing prominence in the regional competitive gaming landscape in the process.
A globally acclaimed mobile game, PUBG MOBILE, has grown to be more than just a source of entertainment for players from all ages. The inclusion of esports in mainstream culture has made it possible for young Filipinos to aspire becoming professional or go ‘pro’. Franchesca Fajardo, Esports Manager at PUBG MOBILE Philippines affirms: “We are thrilled to have our first-ever offline event for the PUBG Mobile National Championships. Since 2022, only one team has made it to the regional pro tournaments. Now, there are seven.
