The recently-inaugurated Pampers manufacturing line, which represents a Php 864 million investment, is intended to produce products for Korea and Vietnam markets
MANILA, Philippines – PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos lauded trusted multinational consumer goods company Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines as it recently inaugurated its new Pampers manufacturing line intended to produce export products to Korean and Vietnamese markets.
“I welcome your new export diaper manufacturing line which will enable us to grow our export output to key developing Asian markets such as Korea and Vietnam. This development comes at a crucial time when we are exerting all efforts to become one of the bigger economies that will emerge in the post-pandemic world,” says President Marcos.
In his message to P&G, the president also recognized the Company as a “steadfast driver of economic growth, providing countless benefits and opportunities for our people.”
The manufacturing line, which represents a Php 864 million investment, is anticipated to not only create direct and indirect jobs but also upscale workers with the technological skills required to work on the line. The equipment and machinery used for the export line is also the most advanced diaper line in P&G globally.
The new line is located in P&G’s Cabuyao plant, which is considered to be one of the most advanced P&G plants in all of Asia. Alongside Pampers, P&G’s Cabuyao Plant also produces the company’s trusted brands such as Ariel and Tide, Joy, Downy, Whisper, and Safeguard for the local and export market.
