(Davao City – August 26, 2021) PLDT Enterprise, together with Metro Pacific Investments Corp. (MPIC), PLDT-Smart Foundation Inc. (PSF), and the Department of Health, extends its support to the vaccination program of Davao City as the region aims to achieve herd immunity against the disease.
The initiative aids the local government’s COVID-19 efforts by prioritizing the inoculation of 5,000 economic frontliners and their dependents who reside in the city. Through this, PLDT Enterprise aims to spur economic recovery and boost resiliency for businesses – micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) – in Mindanao with more of the local population getting vaccinated.
Providing access to the vaccines and getting more people inoculated helps curb the spread of the virus and foster people’s confidence in their day-to-day activities prior to the pandemic.
PLDT Enterprise Customer Relationship Management Head for Mindanao Ben Melasa said that, “reaching herd immunity in Mindanao is vital for businesses, especially for MSMEs to be able to operate at full capacity while continuing adherence to the health and operational guidelines of the government.”
