SINGAPORE — November 5, 2014 — Beijing. Sydney. Singapore. Seoul. All world-class cities of culture, commerce and cuisine.
For the next two weeks, they’ll also be host to world-class graphics virtualisation technology, on show from NVIDIA and VMware.
Our NVIDIA GRID team will be barnstorming those cities and over a dozen more across Asia Pacific, showcasing our GRID vGPU technology as part of VMware vForums and VMware Solutions Symposiums. You can see a schedule here.
The goal of these events is simple: bring together the world’s experts, wherever they may be, in virtualisation, cloud computing and end-user computing; then, set them loose in sessions and labs where conference attendees can immerse themselves in the latest IT innovations.
We’re doing our part. We’ll be demonstrating the most graphics-intense applications — such as geographical information systems (GIS), AutoCAD, Teamcenter, WebGL, and HTML5 — all running on a virtualised GPU, without compromised performance.
Plus, conference attendees will get the first look at a technology preview of VMware vSphere Hypervisor running NVIDIA GRID vGPU.
NVIDIA GRID vGPU technology allows multiple virtual machines to share the power of a single GPU to deliver rich graphics experiences with professional 2D and 3D applications.
At this year’s VMworld conferences in the US and Europe, customers signed up by the dozens to participate in our early access programme. Among them: European aircraft-manufacturing giant Airbus, healthcare provider MetroHealth, and global construction and engineering firm CH2MHILL.
To experience VMware vSphere with NVIDIA GRID vGPU yourself, view the requirements and apply for early access.
Next stop on our tour? We’ll be in Tokyo, November 5-6. Stop by the Technology Theatre to learn how companies like Denso are using GRID technology to solve their virtual desktop infrastructure needs. And hear directly from the team at Honda about the benefits of their NVIDIA GPU-based VDI.
Or drop by any of our vForum booths for a walk-through tech demo or to find out more about the early access programme.
