Manila, Philippines – Nokia has today reaffirmed its commitment to supporting enterprises in the Philippines in their digital transformation journey and advancing the nation’s Industry 4.0 roadmap. 

At a roundtable held today in Taguig City, Metro Manila, the company also offered key insights into ongoing 5G trends and developments, and how, as the next generation of connectivity, 5G will accelerate Filipino enterprises’ digital transformation and help sustain the nation’s growth during its Industry 4.0 strategy. 

The Philippines was one of the earliest Southeast Asian nations to take a lead in 5G deployment. 5G is a key enabler for the Philippines’ digital transformation journey, and the next generation in connectivity will empower the country’s enterprises and organisations to prepare for Industry 4.0. Alongside bringing the country to the next era of connectivity, it also quickly responded to the increasing digital demands exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic with a government policy accelerating the nation’s strategy towards Industry 4.0. 

As a recognized leader in 5G and networking for Industry 4.0, Nokia has worked to deliver enterprise solutions and enhance the Philippines’s enterprise and industrial ecosystems, as explained during its latest roundtable session today. Nokia is committed to bringing purpose-designed solutions for Industry 4.0 digitalization and beyond. 

From solutions such as Nokia Smart Node, Network Slicing and Intelligent Edge, the company offers mission-critical solutions that can transform industries and enterprises, aligning them with the government’s Industry 4.0 strategy. 

Nokia also explained that private wireless has proven to be the critical enabler to accelerate Industry 4.0. Together, Industry 4.0 and private wireless enable industries to fuse physical with digital processes by connecting all machines as well as sensors and mobile workers in the most flexible, affordable, secure, and reliable way available, providing mission-critical solutions for enterprise customers.

Out of these, Nokia has 21 commercial 5G deals across the Asia Pacific and Japan region – where the company is playing an active role in bringing the region to the 5G future, while also combining its network and security expertise to create security solutions for 5G networks.

Nokia has deployed mission-critical networks to more than 2,200 leading enterprise customers in the transport, energy, large enterprise, manufacturing, webscale and public sector segments around the globe. It has also extended its expertise to more than 485 large private wireless customers worldwide across an array of sectors and has been cited by numerous industry analysts as the leading provider of private wireless networking worldwide.
