Multinational electronics giant LG Electronics’ “LG Caravan” visited three barangays in Hagonoy, Bulacan to carry out community building activities in partnership with international humanitarian group, Good Neighbors International Philippines (GNIP). Founded in Korea, GNIP was established in the Philippines in 2008 with the goal of improving Filipino children’s lives.
LG Caravan’s initial joint CSR undertaking with GNIP will reach Hagonoy’s underprivileged children and consisted of medical check-ups and Kid’s Day activities for the latter’s beneficiaries.
The three-day medical check-ups, which ran from May 11 to 13, 2017, ensured that over a thousand GNIP-supported children will receive good quality health services. On the other hand, the Kid’s Day scheduled on June 20, 2017 will serve as an opportunity for about 400 indigent children of Hagonoy to develop their social skills through interactive activities with their fellow children.
“The Philippines is an important market for LG and we are always glad to be able to give back to its communities,” said LG Philippines Managing Director Inkwun Heo. “LG’s technology innovations as well as our corporate social responsibility projects aim to demonstrate our sincerest commitment to make life good for Filipinos.”
