First celebs to get HOOQ’d

At the recently concluded PEP List event, editors of PEP.ph gave out two prestigious awards to recognize some of the country’s top talents in showbiz. The HOOQ Teleserye Actor and Actress of the Year titles were given to Gabby Eigenmann and Jennylyn Mercado for their most notable performances in well-loved teleseryes Dading and Rhodora X, respectively. In addition to Hollywood movies and TV series, HOOQ is the only online entertainment service that features the best content from top local studios, including ABS-CBN’s Imortal and Magkaribal, and GMA telenovelas such as Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real and My Husband’s Lover. This award recognizes the hard work that the actors and actresses put into honing their craft.

Meanwhile, Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad were named as the Most Promising Young Stars for their flourishing acting prowess. HOOQ believes in recognizing the potential in young actors and actresses and this award reaffirms their talent that will contribute to the future of quality Filipino entertainment.

Everyone who attended the event at the Grand Ballroom of Solaire Resort and Casino also got HOOQ’d as the fabulous members of the podcast group Becky Nights conducted interviews for the HOOQxPEP segment. Becky Nights hosts Divine Lee, Jake Galvez, Matt Gozun, Margaux Medina, IC Mendoza and Buern Rodriguez interviewed celebrities on what they were most excited about during the awards night, as well as quizzed them on their favorite movies and TV series available on HOOQ. These and more juicy conversations with your favorite celebrities will be aired via a special Becky Nights iTunes podcast soon.

HOOQ’ing up like a VIP

The lucky winner of “The HOOQ VIP” Instagram contest, Jed Dilig, attended the PEP List 2015 looking and riding like a bonafide superstar. Counting down to the much-anticipated red carpet event, HOOQ invited fans take part in a selfie contest for a chance to rub elbows with the local stars they were dying to meet at this year’s PEP List. Jed was the lucky winner chosen to “HOOQ up” with idol Matt Gozun, celebrity stylist and Becky Nights co-host.

 

“I’m happy, very happy. This is unbelievable, an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity. If HOOQ hosts another contest, I will surely join it!” Jed shared about the experience.
