LoveYourself Inc., once again celebrates its bi-yearly Love Gala and Ripple Awards, to recognize the community’s wins against HIV and its attached issues. Coinciding with the global celebration of World AIDS Day 2023 on December 04, the celebrations unfold at the Podium Hall in Ortigas, Pasig City.
Embracing the spirit of UNAIDS World AIDS Day 2023 theme, this year’s Love Gala themed “Let Communities Lead” pays homage to unsung heroes who are true game-changers as they have tirelessly championed HIV Advocacy in the Philippines and the Asia-Pacific region. It is within the collaborative efforts of these heroes that lasting change is born, and it is here, at the heart of our collective efforts, that true “Heroes Emerge.”
The gala will also feature the presentation of “The Ripple Award,” honoring exceptional individuals and organizations for their unparalleled contributions to HIV Advocacy.
Among the distinguished awards to be presented is the esteemed “Ripple of Inspiration.” This accolade is reserved for five individuals who have exemplified extraordinary kindness, brilliance, and bravery in uplifting the lives affected by the HIV epidemic. The “Ripple of Activation Award” will be bestowed upon three organizations instrumental in bringing about positive change to HIV advocacy through collaboration with people, volunteers, and other collaborators. Additionally, the “Ripple of Innovation” will recognize two projects that have made a positive impact on the advocacy through innovative approaches.
Adding to the festivities are esteemed beauty queen ambassadors, Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey and Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray— two women who have demonstrated unwavering commitment to championing HIV causes through their respective platforms.
The celebration will feature various performances and inspiring messages by representatives and volunteers from Love Yourself Inc., all aimed at encouraging more people to get involved in the cause.
