Filipinos are able to unlock their creative potential and start their creator journey at the recently concluded G Creator Con, held simultaneously at The Globe Tower, BGC Amphitheater, and Globe Creator House on September 17.
This groundbreaking event marked the first-ever G Creator Con hosted by Globe, bringing together aspiring content creators, influencers, and industry experts to share insights, network, and learn the ropes of the digital content world.
The Globe Creator House, a state-of-the-art studio open for content creators to build their portfolios and shoot content, is now welcoming customers until September 30. Powered by Globe, BGC was transformed into an Art & Tech City with different talks, booths, and programs that aimed to unleash each Filipino’s potential in music, content creation, design, and technology.
Experts and personalities from different fields participated as speakers and panelists, sharing their own experiences as a creator in terms of their creative process, content production, mentorship, marketing, and authenticity.
Creator Talks featured speakers from industry experts such as Issang Ceballos, Client Solutions & Video Lead for Meta Philippines; Mauro Daez, NABU Country Lead; and Pablo Mendoza, YouTube Country Lead for PH, where they talked about the musts and hows of writing, producing, and marketing content which are beneficial for aspiring content creators.
Personalities and creative thought-leaders also participated and shared their thoughts and own experiences during the panel discussions.
Miss Trans Global 2020 Mela Habijan, who talked about diversity and inclusivity, expounded on how talented and diverse the LGBTQIA+ are in terms of skills and talents.
She says, “I am here as an LGBTQIA+ advocate telling people that being trans, being LGBTQIA+ is beautiful and we can do so many things. We can be whoever we want to be, we can be in politics, we can be in engineering, we can be in tech like Globe. We can be anywhere. All we need to have are opportunities.”
Actress and multifaceted Creator Nadine Lustre, who recently bagged the Best Actress award at the FAMAS 2023, talked about authenticity as a content creator along with Cinemalaya 2023 Best Actress Pat Tingjuy and visual artist and content creator Raco Ruiz.
She also encouraged aspiring content creators to not give up on their dreams.
Nadine says, “Don’t give up on your dreams because it’s all about timing. I almost gave up on mine. A couple of years later, things started to turn and my dreams started coming true, so, minsan kasi, hindi pa yun mangyayari ngayon because there’s such a thing as the right timing. If it’s not the time for you yet, it only means that you’re not yet ready for what you’re about to receive.”
Lola Amour’s lead vocalist Pio Dumayas brought his unique perspective to the G Creator Con as he delved into the topic of ‘Overcoming Mental Block’ and generously shared his creative process.
Other speakers during the Creator Talks include industry leaders and experts from JobStreet by SEEK, DTI Design Center, MYX, Social Media Marketing PH, Bitskwela.
Drag Race Philippines Season 1 contestant Eva Le Queen and Miss Grand International 5th Runner-up Roberta Tamondong were also part of the panel discussions.
Activities that brought fun and interaction to attendees were also brought by KROMA Entertainment, NABU, Kumu, Samsung, and JobStreet by SEEK. GNY, Carissa, and Clara Benin closed the G Creator Con with their music in the BGC Amphitheater.
