Globe Telecom and popular messaging app Line will offer free calls from December 24, 2014 to January 1, 2015. Line users, including the 12 million strong Filipinos around the world, can use the Premium Call function on their Line app (on their smartphones), to call for free Globe and Line subscribers.

A Line user – especially overseas Filipino workers – during the promo period, are provided 100 minutes of calls which can be used to connect with loved ones. Prepaid subscribers with zero load balance can even receive said Line calls.

This is great news.Telcos and online communication apps used to be two separate worlds. But now Globe and Line are bridging the gap.

The Line app promo is in line with Globe’s expansion of services for overseas Filipino workers, which include DUO International for 24 countries, and the opening of an overseas Globe store in Italy.
