Philmetal recently joined the City and Municipal Engineers Association of the Philippines (CMEAP) National Convention in Baguio City to exhibit the AITECH-accredited Galvaframe System. A light gauge steel frame system, Galvaframe has been recognized by AITECH as a durable, economical, and easy to install innovation to replace conventional house framing. The CMEAP National Convention theme for this year is “Turning Climate Change into opportunity for Growth”, and was held in Baguio City. More than 800 local government engineers attended the event. DPWH Undersecretary Maria Catalina E. Cabral delivered the keynote address during the event.
The Galvaframe steel framing system, which has been accredited as one of the housing technologies that respond to the needs and requirements of the National Housing Authority for mass housing projects, has passed NHA’s test on resiliency against typhoons and earthquakes, which the country regularly experiences.
During the event, Philmetal Sales Director Rommel T. Bulalacao showcased the advantages of the Galvaframe System. “The innovative Galvaframe System is recognized for reducing construction time while offering durability, strength, resiliency, affordability and adaptiveness. This is an advanced solution for both drywall and cast-in place concrete construction methods; and also accommodates easy installation of fit-out components for electrical, water line and sanitary line,” explains Engr. Bulalacao.
The Galvaframe System includes Wall and Truss Framing, Roof & Ceiling Framing, Floor Joist Framing and Roof Systems.
