Manila, Philippines, — Ecwid by Lightspeed, a global SaaS ecommerce platform, has partnered with Xendit, a leading payment solutions provider in Indonesia, the Philippines and Southeast Asia, to offer new ways to sell online and enable sellers to accept online payments with popular local payment options.
With Xendit’s payment gateway, online sellers will be able to offer popular local and international payment options in their online stores such as GCash (e-wallets), 7-Eleven (over-the-counter payments), Visa and Mastercard credit cards, and more.
Ecwid by Lightspeed is already present in Indonesia, Philippines, and 175 other countries globally. The partnership with Xendit is a new way to bring the award-winning ecommerce to the fast-growing South East Asian market. Ways to sell with Ecwid include websites, marketplaces like Amazon and eBay, social media like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, mobile apps and point-of-sale systems.
“At Ecwid by Lightspeed, we’ve long been centered around the idea that e-commerce should be for everyone, and are really excited to be partnering with Xendit to help small to medium businesses in Southeast Asia quickly and easily start selling online.” — says Jon Stribling, Director, Partnerships, APAC.
“We’re very excited to partner with Ecwid by Lightspeed as it strengthens our commitment to enabling the SME Ecosystem in the Philippines. The collaboration between Xendit and Ecwid will allow SMEs who currently do not have a large online presence to scale faster and grow their business,” says Christian Reyes, Xendit Philippines COO.
Both Ecwid by Lightspeed and Xendit have grown quickly, reflecting the increasing demand for ecommerce technology globally. Earlier this year, Lightspeed Commerce announced the acquisition of Ecwid for $500M. Xendit has raised $150M in series C funding and increased its valuation to $1B.
