I didn’t want to cram my review of the ZenFone 2 ZE551ML with every single shot I took. So here’s a separate post showcasing what this impressive “midranger” phone’s rear camera can do. I may update this as I keep pushing the ZenFone 2 to its shooting limits. Let me walk you though the shots, the conditions I took those pics in, and the results.
All the shots here, by the way, have only been resized, watermarked, and crunched. They have not been manipulated in any other way (brightened up, sharpened, color adjusted, etc.). See our review of the ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML here.
You shoot what you love and we love our fat Siamese cat, Xing Yi, shown above lit by ambient late afternoon sun. We hadn’t turned any indoor lights on. Details are spot on.
The Legaspi Sunday Market (above) is one of my favorite shooting venues. Because there are lots of brown and green tones there. Let’s go through a few shots I took there.
Above shot is a test in metering. Beneath the hanging masks is glaring noon time sunlight, while the masks themselves were under a shade. With HDR turned off, we still see details on the mask.
Check out these macro shots (above). If you’re worried about the ZenFone 2’s ability to capture details when very close to the subject, don’t be.
For a phone without any Optical Image Stabilization, these shots capture enough details.
I may update this post as I get more shots. Meanwhile, how’s your experience of shooting with the ASUS ZenFone 2?
