Integrated Community Development program aimed at transforming communities
As a responsible business, Accenture in the Philippines celebrated its Corporate Citizenship Month with a focus on implementing actionable programs that can help develop and transform local communities through its “Sulong Pinoy: Action for Community Transformation” program. Under the integrated community development program, Accenture in the Philippines collaborated with various partners to roll out a series of initiatives aimed at driving greater social impact for local communities.
In Manila, Accenture Philippines launched the program in Napindan Integrated School in Taguig City with a series of activities led by its Country Managing Director Ambe Tierro, along with company executives and volunteers. The activities included: 1) Building homes for 18 PWD families in Napindan made possible through its collaboration with i-Home Greater Metro Manila and Save the Children Philippines and the PHP 5 million donation from Accenture Foundation; 2) Brigada Eskwela classroom clean-up and repainting activities; 3) Skills to Succeed Academy training sessions and turnover of laptops to students and teachers.
Quote from Ambe Tierro, Country Managing Director of Accenture in the Philippines, on why these programs continue to inspire Accenture and its people to give back and make a difference in communities where the company operates:

As a responsible business, Accenture Philippines is embarking on our Sulong Pinoy integrated development program to help contribute in efforts to transform communities. Under this program, we are adopting Barangay Napindan and supporting its development with initiatives that help in digital upskilling and uplifting health, well-being and livelihood of beneficiaries. I am extremely grateful to and proud of our volunteers in Accenture Philippines for their tireless efforts in driving our corporate citizenship efforts in the country. Through our collective efforts, we are living our purpose and making lasting and inclusive impact in the communities.”
